The surgery went well, or so I thought. I cleaned, applied neosporin, and wrapped daily. It has become a little red and warm the last 3 days. She is not limping. The pad is soft. The surgery site is closed, but maybe some dirt got in??

Not sure what to do next. Should I get an antibiotic, say penicillan, or soak it in e salts, or use Tricide-neo? (I dont have a pic right now because I am at work.)

Thanks for any help!

I would try soaking in epsome salts. Also if you bruise plantain leaves (that grow in the lawn) and apply them and wrap it up it is supposed to draw out infection. HTH---Terri O
