30 plus hours

Chick pipped 30 plus hours ago. All other eggs have hatched and are dry and running around the brooder. I'm not sure what to do. The chick is moving and making noise but doesn't seem to making any progress since yesterday. Any suggestions?

Thank you. I thought I attached pictures. Sorry! I'm scared to open the incubator since their is a good size opening in the egg.

It won't hurt to open the incubator to take the egg out to candle it.

It appears that it has pipped on the wrong side so it is probably stuck.

Are you sure this one is still alive?

Yes. I can still hear it and the egg rocks back and forth.

Your egg the beak poached through the shell down towards the pointy end of the egg.

Notice in this video below how the whole is closer to the fatter end of the egg.

This usually means your chick is not in the correct position to hatch itself.

Since the rest of your eggs have already hatched and this one is clearly pipped on the wrong end of the egg I am going to guess you are going to have to take it out of the shell if you want it to survive.

But you need to understand that it is possible there is something wrong with it which is why it has not been able to hatch on its own.
