I have a barnevelder I hatched out who is 32 weeks old and two days. She's never laid a single egg, though her comb and wattles have been getting redder over the past couple of weeks. She's been pretty grumpy and seemingly under the weather lately, so I took a good hard look at her this morning and noticed she was looking a little plucked around the neck and tail. Yep--she's molting and a ton of feathers are growing in too. I've read about the juvenile molt at about 9 months, and this seems like it's it. Anyone else encountered this with a late egg-bloomer? What has your experience been with egg production and this molt? Any experience with barnevelders specifically? Any feedback appreciated!

(Oh, and they are all getting lots of protein right now because I've got three others who are molting.)
