Well I'm back yet again from the state fair today, and again, 4 chicks, no other pips or movement. I still expect 4 more eggs to hatch..... so they had better hurry up!!!

How long can I leave these 4 in the bator? I'd like to be able to just box them all up tomorrow and take them to the fair with me to give to the new owner..... but if I can't, I'd like to be able to leave them in the incubator for a while longer instead of putting together my little broody cage. I've got it out and clean...just not set up.

I leave mine in till they are very fluffy, but no more than 24 hours. Some don't remove them for a couple of days, till the hatch is over, but I never do that.



ETA: #5 has pipped.

Hey, all, James, I'm going to bed in a few minutes, so will update later or in the morning. There are five pipped eggs that I can see. The first two are making theirs larger and cheeping. Brooder is warm and ready with food and water.

OK, I'm awake .... Cyn, wake up .... we need a progress report! Coffee is brewing, and I ran to the computer for an update. How many babies?

Today is day 21 .... they should be poppin' like popcorn anytime now! YAY ! !
