33 Eggs!!!!!?????

I'm in the same boat. This is their first year laying and I'm wondering if they are even fertilized. I'm weighing what to do; remove them and pitch them, remove them and eat them, remove them and blow them out for Easter???

The male has gotten so agressive, he attacks everyone, including me, CONSTANTLY! He almost broke (literally almost bit off) my thumb yesterday and I wasn't near the nest even! I'm realllly hoping that if I remove the eggs they will stop laying and all go back to being nice

Removing the eggs will not make her stop laying.

She'll stop laying at the end of breeding season and behavior will go back to normal.

Get yourself an old broom to carry and if the gander comes at you, point the bristle end at him. He should back off, and if not, you can bump him gently on the chest with the bristles. Don't hit him or swing at him.

Placing their favorite food away from the nest should get them away from the nest for a few minutes if you want to pick up those eggs.

I honestly don't know if they are still good for eating or if they are fertile. The temperature here in MI has been crazy these last few weeks. We've gone from 40s to 80s back down to 30s and they have been in there for 4 weeks

After that long they probably aren't any good for hatching but you could probably eat them. Just float test them or crack them into a bowl first.

I also went back & forth about what to do with the eggs. But, figured they were no good anymore (started laying 2-12) for hatching and was not going to eat that old of an egg, and call me lazy, but I am not about to blow out goose eggs. Mrs. Goose is still laying but not setting. Know goslings could be good money, but no incubator so what's the point. Maybe next year. My gander (Jolly - don't ask, my grandson named him) used to try to bite me but now only nibbles on me when he can. He also tries to climb up my leg - think he wants romance. I can't even sit out in my lawn chair without him bugging me. I keep a stick with me and shoo him away if he starts to bother me. Since he can't scare me anymore, he has taken to going after the horses, who actually RUN AWAY FROM HIM. What a sight. Interesting thing about Mrs Goose setting- when we had our dog, who just recently passed away, everytime she'd see him around, in she would go and set on her eggs. Since he's gone- she has totally forgotten about taking care of her eggs!
