I got two approximately 12 week old Americauna pullets in Mid-may, and they are still not laying yet. They are healthy otherwise, though way more skittish than my barred rocks. Could this be because they matured when the light was waning? I've checked the run and there are no stashes of hidden eggs.

I have six East eggers, which I guess have about the same duration to mature. They were hatched on 4/21. One began to lay green egg a month ago, pretty regularly; Another 2 weeks but only two eggs so far. Nil for other four. Just FYI. I am holding out for them for another 3-4 four weeks. Did read somewhere about them taking seven months to lay eggs...

I would still love to see a picture of those beautiful sounding eggs!
Here's one next to a different chicken egg.

It's the egg on the left.
