37 hours after external pip, should I help?

This is him now. It looks like he keeps trying to push out. But is still making chewing motions. I really don’t know what to do for the best. I don’t want to lose him.
If he's making the chewy motions stop...
He's not ready to come out.

Thanks for replying. Sorry for being a pain. I’m losing my head. The membrane has gone brown now and looks so dry on the top. I just want to know if at some point I need to help and how will o know if I do! He’s been like that now for 6 hours

Pay attention to how the duckling is moving.
If you notice it's slowing down in its movement or stopping then you might want to take it out.

I would leave him alone at this point it hasn't been long enough.

How long is long enough? I’m losing my head. The membrane is dry around the top of him now I can tell and it’s brown. I just don’t know how much longer to give him to get out alone

How many other eggs have hatched and how many eggs are still left to hatch?

I only had 2 and one internally pipped and died. This is my only one
Thank you.
It is not uncommon for a duck to take 48 hours to hatch once you see the pip.

Since you have already opened the egg it may not hatch on its own... I'm just saying this for next time.
Next time don't help until after 48 hours have passed.

Has it been 48 hours yet?

Thank you.
