37 hours after external pip, should I help?

Sorry...I stepped away from my phone.

If you help him out and he wasn't ready it won't end well.

Just take a bit more of the shell off towards the fat end...over the air cell only.

Thanks. I’m not worried about the shell. There is enough room for him to get out of the shell it’s just the membrane. I will post another pic

I'm saying to take off some of the shell over the air cell side so you can see in the egg better and see if he is indeed stuck or if he has absorbed the yolk.

Ok thank you. I’m going to try this now.

I had the same situation with my first chicken egg hatch. I only got 4 chicks out of 12 eggs, and 2 of those chicks I had to free from the egg. I watched YouTube videos, and one chick was so shrink-wrapped I had to cut its membrane off with scissors, so I would have definitely lost it without intervention. I have no regrets for intervening. Go with your gut.

Cmon little ducky

Here he is. I was up all night watching him and he hatched when I was out this morning getting him some friends. He was huge and needed help getting out. He had some of his yolk left I think. It was brown but wasn’t attached and his tummy looks good but he stinks. Like really cheesy when we opened the incubator to help. What is that? I’m worried it’s sign of an infection?
anyways he is gorgeous and gigantic.
