Aww! I'm glad both chickens are happy. I love Melow, what breed is she?

My last hatch went pretty well too.... hatch wise. I at about a 90% hatch rate, but the pullet-to-roo rate wasn't so good. Out of the 11 hatched, only 3 were pullets!

We're trying to hatch some splash OEGB eggs right now. The first batch aren't too good so we're ordering some more Monday. Wish me luck! Hopefully my little buff/blue silkie Pumpkin will go broody so we can give her some eggs.

Thanks, she is a cream legbar, good luck with your hatch, and by the way chicken forever are you ever going to write another story anytime soon? I love reading them, they are the only story I would read out of choice haha!
 
Yes, fairly. I can't find any hatcheries around me that sell them. And now that I think about it, I haven't really heard of many people who have them.
They're so cute, I love the poof on their head!

I once accodemtley went on the ebbay.com instead of uk and when i seen the the price of the hatching eggs i was like no way!! my cream legbar hen was cheaper than that!!
