Is battery hen a breed or something? I've heard of them but I'm not really sure what they are

I used to have a thread on here educating people about egg farms but someone reported it after like 6 weeks of it being up and it was shut down! I lost a lot of my rescue pics too, I wish they would have warned me so I could save them on my laptop!
