Just pluck the feathers.

Ouch.....how would I do it with out it bleeding and hurting? There's a lot. And I think they would just grow back.

before the show pluck them. I've plucked my hens feathers before... When I was desperate for a feather in my hair.

Just pull them out? Ouch...does it hurt them? Well the show isn't till October 2012 and my BA is only 9 weeks old. Will he grow out of them?

Yeah, just pull them- It doesn't bother one of my hens, but I don't do it anymore. Ooh...... If he has too many by then, then I woudn't pluck them. If he has like five, I would just pluck one a day so he isn't hurt severly.

Oh ok we will see when the time comes. And how many days before the show should I pluck them?

No offence, but I think feathers in your hair is sort of weird. But it's ok for you because you didn't hurt them.

I'm thinking of all the chickies who die because some stupid people (not you) want feathers in their hair

I really wanted to breed him too. Will it mess up the color of the breed?

The first time it was my hens feather. Didn't hurt her one bit.

I guess I'm one of those stupid people. I have a rooster feather in my hair, that was killed for. But they DO use their meat, so.......... And I didn't buy them. My Dad's friend has a Fly Shop, and he gave me a bunch for free.
