I know how you feel! I once had a hen (raised her from a baby) and she was the smartest and most trained hen I had. Whenever I sit down and pat my leg, she'd jump up and cuddle with me!! I miss my Oreo!

She got killed by a mink....

Thanks. Just now, those kids said they didn't have a dog with them. So it might have been my other neighbors, who have 2 dogs, that know we have lots of chickens and know we free range them in our yard and whoever did it is gonna pay for killing my Mushroom. Their dog was on our property.

No, you need to get a pistol and kil it. The dog will come back, or if you hit it with a bb it might get mad and attack you. I don't advise a bb gun. I have tried using it on an aggressive dog and I got attacked.
