All is well for a Monday.

The sun is shining

My coops are compete

Pips in the hatcher

Too many chicks ready to move outside.

I just have to clean up and set up the grow out pen.

I thought everything was going well.... until I got a call saying my hall lights weren't working. I called DH asking if he could check the breakers. Guess he was too busy because by the time I got home I found 4 day old chicks with no heat lamp and an incubator full of eggs at 80 degrees. It took a few hours for the bator to heat back up. I hope they'll be ok, I have Kelar and Bargain eggs that I have high hopes for.

I honestly didn't think I had a chance to be in the worst hatch contest. I've had such good luck hatching

Hope everyone else has better luck with their power.

According to DH's email this morning, we have 15 in the bator, he decided not to put the wandering eggs back under Goldie. He also didn't want to shove eggs back under the broody Icelandic since she abandoned the first clutch. When I get home I may let her keep some of her own choosing.

We think Goldie has 9 under her, DH didn't want to pick her up and count as he was afraid she might just jump ship. She might have some "extras" too, but we will look this weekend when I get home.
