3rd Annual New Year's Day Hatch!!

I'm sorry for your luck! I hope your others do better.

Today is hatch day for me, had to go watch a movie so I wasn't hovering constantly.

Hope you come home to a bator full of peeps!

Well, not much progress when I got home. There are 2 happy little silkies. Two more are about 50%. There are a few more silkie eggs that made it to lockdown but not showing any sign of pipping. Absolutely nothing from the 8 Splash Marans. I hope my shipped eggs do better than my own this time around.

I've been good... I have NOT candled the NYD eggs yet.

And chicks all over. I was going INSANE trying to keep up with the mess. The thing that irritates me the most about broodies is they will knock over their water dish and bury it within 0.000546 seconds of me placing it in their area in order to "show the chicks how to look for food."

Looks like you had a real maternity ward going there. Don't drink the water when you visit SCG!!!

You didn't, Mahonri! Yes, you DID. You said "Can't wait!" Auuugggh!! You have no choice - there's nothing to speed up time for you! There is no other option but waiting. <*glowers*>

You can HARDLY wait. ('Cause you do have to wait.)

Oh. Sorry. <*ahem*> That's just one of those linguistic quirks which make me nuts.

And, um, by the way, me too. I can hardly wait.

Candled mine. I've got 4 that haven't done anything, the 6 I got through the swap are so dark I can't tell if anything is in them or not and the rest all have veins....Whohoo. So that's 23 developing eggs. I've got eggs pipping in my lockdown bator....so I added another 18 eggs to the regular bator because I simply cannot eat my silkie and banty wyandotte eggs.
