Puffles ate the Chocolate Cake!!!!

I came home and Miss Puffles was out of her cage and the Chocolate Cake on the kitchen counter had peck holes in it. I told her it could make her fat, but she doesn't care much about watching her figure!

[Stupid Question alert!]

Alright, so tomorrow is lockdown. which is awesome. i still have an upwords of 20 eggs in the 'bator.
BUT! i have been reading as much as possible on this thread and i've noticed many posts with people saying that they've candled and "lost" many of their eggs. its a disheartening number im sure. but what i want to know is HOW can you guys tell? i candle them with a fairly blinding flashlight and all i see is!......glowing air cell and black mass taking up the rest of the egg. i can tell that there is SOMETHING in there, but how in the world am i supposed to know if its still growing in there. i figure it would be nice to have a ballpark estimate on how many eggs i can expect to hatch in the coming days, so i figure i'll ask you Forumers in your infinate knowledge. we all set at the same time (give or take a few minutes and time zones,) so what would i expect to see if i have a living viable embryo this close to lockdown?

thanks guys, i know you have the info in a swiss bank account or something. and i'm sure you'll definately share.......maybe.......probably.....please?

I look for blood vessels and to see if most of the pointy end of the egg is filled. Also, after a while, the dark part starts shrinking. If in doubt, I put it into lock down.
