So everything got set with the Swedish Flowers?

I just remember some confusion on set day last Easter and wondered if the same thing happened with the FCBMs...

Early lockdown for me since I won't be here tomorrow. 18 out of 24, although 1 is questionable. The rest all looked like they had good movement going on inside.

So what is the identifying difference between the Swedish Flowers and Icelandics? These look just like my Icelandic chicks - roughly the same age even.

I was watching my Icelandics and realized what a dumb question that was. They don't even look like each other, really. But that's what's cool about them isn't it?

How to kill the 'sit on your hand' hours which are now stretching ahead of us for the next 3 days...

...look up at the announcement bar and click on the Big BYC Coop Cleanup. Sounds like there is a lot of work to do, and if we all rate a few coops, we could have Nifty's chore done by New Year's Day!

Hi everyone I set 2 incubators of eggs on the 8th as us girls were going to Vegas for the rodeo and shopping and and....lazy me I looked at them last night and thought I should take out the turkeys they do take another week and this morning I heard chicks knocking shells around I didn't even add water so far I have a dozen out and I took the turkey eggs out looked in the other incubator and have pips, lots of pips. Same brand of incubator my red china specials you can't set the temp and have to turn eggs but they hatch the eggs so maybe pictures tomorrow and my brooders aren't here so I'm fixing up my old ones. I haven't told the grandkids that they are already hatching they did ask what day they might start hatching told them tomorrow he he they've never seen baby chicks I think 8 of Bargains made it I know 1 has hatched and I don't know if any of the swap eggs have hatched yet but I have to take the chicks out of it tomorrow as I'm using it to lockdown the other eggs I set on Monday when I got home from Vegas

I believe you're right. Sometimes when I'm trying to walk outside it's like every other step I take is on a silkie.....step, silkie, step, silkie, step, silkie, step, silkie. The big birds are there too, but never under my feet like those wee little slikes.
