I'd like to try this

I'll offer 2 batches of mixed breed large fowl - 6+ eggs each

I'd prefer large fowl only since I wouldn't want the little ones to be hurt in my big flock.

Edited to add that I really can't take waterfowl this time of year either

I'm very excited about this swap and I'm not even participating in the swapping! I can't wait to see what hatches and how they grow up.

On another note, I went and blew chocolate milk all over my new (8 day old) laptop last evening (at least I had something to laugh hard about causing said milk explosion). This laptop was the source and storage for my spreadsheet with everyones wants and dislikes, addresses, etc. Hopefully today it's all dried up and working nicely.

This laptop has gone 8... nope... 0 days without an incident.

Good thing work hasn't blocked BYC yet.

Someone did ask the other day in clinic what the vitamin K content of pheasant liver was... although BYC didn't have the answer I can now justify the IT department not blocking it.

Are you saying that just your roosters are smaller breeds?

Yes, because some ppl don't want bantams and I wanted everyone to be clear about what I have.
Yep, this is exciting for me too.

Sounds a bit like my farm. I have a mix of LF and bantams running around. I have a few EE/OEGB crosses around here.

Generally "pullet" (aka small eggs from new layers) aren't recommended for hatching until the eggs become full sized. Did they just start laying again after a molt or are they entirely new layers? If they're new layers, I'd wait to swap them. However, that being said, you should join the hatch and attempt to hatch some... so we can watch and see the results!

Do you know how to tell if an egg is fertile?
