3rd Annual NYD Hatch "Designer" Egg Swap Thread

LOL.....have you ever had to get up in the middle of the night and take a plastic sack away from your cat? Midnight human torture is so true when it comes to cats.

The cat is smart, too, which is why I think she hides toys. One night many years ago she kept finding various toys and playing with them. My ex husband got up at one point and took a toy away from her, but was too lazy (see also: ex-husband) to put it away in her bin so he shoved it between the mattress pad and the mattress... she tried to dig for it for about 30 minutes before he took it out of there. For a few months after that incident I'd catch her trying to dig between the mattress and the pad... either it still smelled like her favorite toy or she remembered the deceit.

I almost died watching this video:

Be glad it is a fake mouse... I hate it when the cat brings the mouse in the house (still alive) and I hear crunch... squeak, squeak... crunch.... squeak, crunch, crunch, crunch... Shudder. Then there is a little pile of rejected mouse which one must not step on with bare feet.

One time.... at my brother-in-laws, I was rudely awakened by their DEAF white cat playing with an empty gallon milk jug. She was batting it around the kitchen on the tile floor!

I shipped yesterday. I have no idea which box went to which of the two locations, cause i just threw on the shipping labels and that was that. I forgot to arrange a package pick-up, so I waited in line 45 minutes at the PO!

I got them sent, though!

Hi everyone,
Due to my son having an explosion of anger while making cookies, on Sunday, I thought I would have to bow out. Not only was he angry and cursing (not normal) he grabbed all the eggs I had collected and began to throw them all over the kitchen. I had egg everywhere - on the cubbards, the floor, the ceiling, not to mention, the cats.

In fact I am still finding yolk here and there.
Thank goodness I have a bassett - she is such a goog cleaner!

Anyway, my husband told me not to worry just collect eggs Monday then wrap up and send out same day - repeat on Tuesday. I apologize to the two people that I sent boxes to - I feel like I forgot something I am sure it is just my harride mind. Also, my son is fine now - he was having a bad, aggressive, suicidal. . . reaction to a medication increase. You know- those black box labels - it really does happen and not just kids, adults as well.

No more writing only going to think about eggs and chickens and eggs!
By the way, I am very exited about the egg swap and nyd hatch. Thank you, A
