I just looked back at the beginning of this thread and now I'm all excited again. I can't wait to start receiving eggs and resting them, and setting them, and candling them, and waiting, and waiting....

I ordered eggs and have way too many saved that I'm going to set tomorrow as I'm leaving for Vegas....I have my first shipment of eggs due tomorrow and it looks like another will show up Thursday but I'll be gone I have 4 incubators looks like they will all be full and 3 of them hold 60 eggs

what am I thinking

I'm thinking some of mine better be good enough to show or I'll be eating lots a chickens and turkeys

Here I've only got my paltry 52 eggs. My 3rd time hatching and the biggest number ever. I am an amateur aren't I?!

USPS is stupid, too. They won't allow me to use my credit/debit card because it says on the back CHECK ID instead of my signature. I don't carry cash and have never had a problem, but I have had my card stolen and used before. I always have multiple forms of ID, including government chipped ones with me. Last time the lady just told me to sign the back of the card in front of her, that she'd let me use it. So I cram my (very long) last name onto an itty bitty spot under the huge CHECK ID, hand her the card and my ID with a smile, and she gives it back to me denying it, saying she can't see my signature. I was livid. Oh, but then she immediately let me pick up not one but TWO packages for my boyfriend, who has a completely different name from me (obviously) ...

Then I sent USPS an email explaining how I think this is a ridiculous policy, and they forwarded it to her for a response.



...idiotic.


Can't wait to see how my shipped eggs fare this year. I am not looking forward to picking up my packages this week.

If I know someone is going to send something through them, I use my sister's address in town, but every now and then someone will say they're sending thru USPS and they really meant UPS or FedEx and I literally have to beat the bush to get to my package. I am so glad to hear it isn't just me! I try to tell everyone not to use UPS for my deliveries but sometimes they do. I crige when I see a UPS tracking number. Literally this summer in 100+ heat they left a box of shipped eggs in the middle of the county road becasue at the end of my drive there is a Beware of dog sign. Before this driver I never had a prolem with that. Now this guy always puts the comment that he could find the address and the customer needs to clarify. He comes every week!!! how stupid.
