I have kept chickens for at least 5 years now. I also seem to keep "loosing" my "membership" here. Kinda frustrating. We have 26 chickens right now, 2 roosters and 24 layers. A wide variety of breeds and everybody seems happy. I joined the first time to get information, the 2nd time to give and receive information. This 3rd time I found I had to make an account, my heart had gone out to a poor "chicken mum" who may have given chicks too soon to a broody hen. I hope this account stays, be cause I do enjoy reading up on tips and offering advice when I may have it.

Welcome back!

I had the opposite experience. I signed up in 2010. I think I had to sign up to look at photos, or something like that, but I really don't remember. Not long ago, I decided to get more involved in the community. And what do you know? My account was still active!

Please be certain to write down your BYC user name and password, and put it somewhere you can't lose it. It's not likely someone will come in and steal that information. It's not on a scale of credit card or bank info.

Greetings and welcome back to BYC! I've heard the third time is a charm. I'm twice divorced & NOT planning to test it out though. So glad you joined us. As you already know, there's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what new & interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me :old will never remember from this thread. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
