Realizing that this is probably a silly question, you folks are the only ones who won't laugh at me so I'm going to ask anyway.
My "flock" consists of 3 silkies - 2 hens and one rooster. The rooster seems to have married one of the hens - he breeds only her, herds her away from the other hen, and at night, he snuggles up with her in the corner and the other girl sleeps alone.
I'm thinking I should find a couple more silkie hens to keep the poor third wheel company - do you think they would hang together? The 3 I have now are all black - if I got a different color, would they shun the black loner? Should I get one or two or three more for the best chance of them joining the lonely girl? I feel so bad for her!
