My son recently got 5 RIR pullets. They are about 2 1/2 - 3 months old. I know that most people say that chickens start laying eggs at about 24 weeks old, but I am wondering if RIR's start laying sooner that 24 weeks.

    Thanks,
    krv

Mine started at 17 weeks but the weather was very nice much earlier than normal for the season when they started.
