thanks for sharing this, sounds like a very rare case... it's hard to fully understand what was going on with her what with all the scientific language but sounds like some food was found trapped between her throat and crop? potentially they weren't connected in the way they should have been?

Yes, so an anomaly where one part of the intestine is stuck down inside another, so no food getting to the crop. I felt she wasn't getting nutrition but couldn't understand why. Sad.
Luckily, the other 7 seem healthy and are roosting under the poop board in their own section of the coop... Another week and they'll have the run and then integration!
My hens are totally ignoring them...
