Lol. Yes she should be able to get her feathers back. Once her skin scabs over the new skin growth will develop and will push the scab to fall off naturally. So it will be bare skin for little bit at that point but then eventually you will see new feathers begin to develop.That's great to know! I was so worried she'd be bare forever!
Did yours part the feathers like the feathers were wet because that's what's happening to my chick, and I'm just wondering if i should give her a bath or something.As far as the ointment goes I kept using it till I saw the skin form like a scab then I stopped
She was always right under the light when it was warmer, except to eat and drink.She could be cold at 85 just at 1 week old, especially with the back wound. How did she do when the temp was warmer? Was she always underneath?
