4 day old chick, with dried poop.

My 4 day old chick has poop seriously dried on her butt, I've been putting mineral oil on and attempting to soften it up to get it off. Is this my only option?

You can dip her in warm water in a bowl while I haven't had to go that far mine have always come off with a warm washcloth, others on this site say it works great. They say often the chicks go to sleep. Make sure to thoroughly dry somehow, either with a blow dryer or put under a heat lamp. If they get chilled, they may die.

Thank you. I think we wil try the warm cloth first and see how that goes. We won't let here get cold.

ALSO THE CURE IS THIS
GALLON OF FEED
1 CUP OF PLAY SCHOOL SAND ( BOUGHT AT LUMBER YARD- not CEMENT FINISHER SAND)

feed this as only feed and it will solve the problem
also the chick is too cold or too hot that is what starts this

also put in gallon of water 1 tbsp of ACV for the chicks

There are 2 in the brooder - the other doesn't have the same problem. Not thinking/heat or cold is the reason.. She seems to be pooping fine, I just can't get this off her butt.

I the warm water works and I notice again - I'll try the sand.
