4 day old chick with poop problems

I have a baby chick hatched on 9/4 that is still with it's mom that seems to have a poop problem. It's not pasty butt. When it squats to poop a white substance protrudes out but then goes back in. I've seen it do this twice. The chick was eating well yesterday and drinking today. Her wings are droopy and she's getting around OK but I'm worried about what might be going on. The mom keeps pecking at it and kind of pulling it around by it's wings. Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you post a video of her trying to pass? You can wet the chicks bottom with damp paper towels to help, give her some molasses for constipation, and separate her from her mother to prevent extra stress.

I will try to take one tomorrow. I did wet her bottom. I will try the molasses. Thank you.

You can mix molasses with water, they will usually drink it since it is sweet and syrupy. You can also add electrolytes to the water to keep her strength up.

Thank you. I have taken her away from the mom, given watered down molasses and am now giving her electroloytes. She is not interested in eating or drinking. Someone on another thread mentioned her crop and it is bulging with something. How do I get it down or out?

Has she had this since she started trying to poop, or is it new? Do you have a video?

I honestly don't know but I'm guessing so. She seemed fine on Sat. and Sun. What I've noticed coming out now is a jelly like clear in color substance. Very little white noted. I have a video but it's terrible quality and I can't figure out how to post it. When I replay it on my cell you can see the opening contracting . When she passed the last jelly like stuff it didn't happen. It's almost like a chirping beak opening and closing. I will work on getting the video posted.
