4 Ducks in Magnolia

They need waterfowl food not chicken food. Purina Flock raiser pellets should have at any feed store. My layers get waterfowl maintenance from Mazuri. This is pricy. There is not enough Niacin for ducks in chicken feed. You can supplement them with brewers yeast.

It says chicks and ducklings on the bag? I thought they couldn’t eat adult duck feed into 12 weeks?

It’s only 1 cucs and a slice of watermelon. It takes about 5 days to eat a whole watermelon. This is the feed. I am wondering when they can eat adult food. They seem to eat a lot. It’s always available :)
I feed purina flock raiser. My 4 eat maybe 2-3 cups per day. I add a little cracked corn as well. They get a handful of mealworms and a veggie to share. But, I vary the veggies and they share that with the chickens. The veggies might be every other day because they are scraps from what I don't use during cooking.
If you are feeding cracked corn, watermelon, and cheerios - that is a lot of extras that would not have the nutrition they need. Might I suggest no treats until the evening and only a handful of treats. Maybe vary the veggies given too - try lettuce, peas, etc... mine will eat sweet bell pepper.
I also don't give mine feed at night. They are almost 9 weeks. Once they start laying, I will add oyster shell on the side.
Do you provide grit? And, with that feed your ducks will need the niacin supplemented - either a b complex or brewers yeast will work.

The chick feed is fine, but it doesn't have niacin and that needs to be given to the ducklings - especially pekins since they grow so fast.
They are at an age where you can switch. Even with purina flock raiser (which I have used since I got my ducklings), I supplement a little extra niacin. As purina FR has 55ppm of niacin and I believe Maurizi has 80ppm of niacin. So, a little extra won't hurt.
