On Sunday, we got 5 eggs, WOW another BO is now laying! Today we were out & about till 3 pm, got home & hubby goes to let the girls & guy out to play in the yard & he comes in and says.... 4 eggs in one nest.
I went & got them & put them with the 4 from yesterday, took a nap, and hubby comes in and says, Beth found 2 more eggs in the same nest....6 Eggs Today!

So now 3 of my 6 BO's are now laying, along with my 3 BR. They will be 26 weeks tomorrow, my BR, Baby Girl has been laying now for 6 weeks. The eggs I have been sharing with friends, all comment on how firm the shells are & how vibrant the yolk is. Gave 11 to my friend yesterday & she asked if they were fertile or not. Told her, was not sure if Owl our roo had been manly with all the laying ladies or not. [IMG]

She called later while making yummy scrambled eggs and said 2 were fertile & 4 were not, and she could not wait to eat them.

I am so thrilled that more of my girls are now laying! [IMG]

Woohoo! It's awesome isn't it? We have been getting 7 eggs from nine girls consistently. We haven't had a 9 egg day yet, but I know they have all laid an egg, at least one time. Even so, every day when I open the door to the nest boxes I am still giddy! I love it!

They are slowly getting bigger too, are now about the size of a medium size egg.

It is fun watching two in two separate nest boxes, but then when I go get the eggs, they are all in one box. As soon as one is done, the other hen moves to that box. Silly girls!
