Sorry, don't know what's more important, opening to add water or leave them alone at this point. I'm only on day 20 as of 6pm so I wasn't expecting them til at least tomorrow AM. Went to check on them and there pipping. I don't hear any peeping or see any movement. What should I do, add water or wait and see? Aaagh!

What type of bator? Can't you add water through a vent on top? Do you have a drinking straw or a meat injector syringe? With those you don't have to open the bator to add water. I wouldn't open it if you don't have to.

My humidity went down too. I added water to get it back to 70%. Just try to be quick because you dont want there membranes drying out. I just had two hatch tonight.

It's a Brinsea Octagon, no vents on top, but there is a "spot" on the side to run cords through that has a little cover, I will try to go through that with a straw or maybe the turkey baster, if i can't find a straw. Great idea, Speckled Hen and thanks for the support countrygirlelum, I will be quick! Thanks so much for the quick responses!

I have the same incubator and they have a fast recovery time. Just make sure it is warm water.

Well, I used tap water, not warm, but not cold either, I was to anxious and didn't wait for the reply back so I hope this works. Humidity is already back up to 72. I can't believe I didn't check them sooner, but I know the humidity was fine at 3ish and there was no pipping then so hopefully they are fine, just wish I'd see some activity or hear something!

Hope they make it out.

Now I know what everbody goes through when it comes time to hatch. It was much easier letting my broody hen do all the work and worrying. Ok, I worried a little, but not like this!
