Oh fun! Yeah, it's my third year in rabbit and second in poultry and I qualified for both projects, but rabbit I forgot a step last year and beginners can't do it.

thats cool. yeah we only have it for jr. and sr. I have showmanship in both small animal and large animal, so maybe even both!

I'm hoping to make it with dairy showmanship next year. The kids who show dairy are there just for the money, they try to not get in the round robin

We only have large animal showmanship here which includes Horse, Goat, Sheep, Swine, Dairy, and Beef.
Small animal doesn't have it in going to try and push that this year though
Our county used to all the animals show together in sweeps; beef, sheep, dairy, swine, horses, poultry, dogs, llamas/alpacas, rabbits, goats. I like it a whole lot better divided into small and large. Definitely push for small animal. It is soooo much fun!!

That Would be cool! I am hoping to show at state fair in 2017 with my older doe, her doe kid from this year, then maybe both does kids for next year!

Yeah i would think so! For large animals, its much more based on how you show the animal, and small animal its more on knowledge. Probably a lot easier!

I think poultry is one of the harder showmanship classes- it is a mix of thinking on your feet, answering questions and showing your bird to its best ability. But you can get a flapping bird under control. If a steer doesn't want to stand still, he won't stand still :D

exactly! My doe in showmanship decided she was going to act like i was killing her and rear up on me IN my SHOWMANSHIP Class.... We have been working on it so hopefully she won't do that again!

Yup. My cochin rooster was doing great on the pose, but in showmanship he looked and walked all around the cage. Oh well, more training I guess

My cochin roo was a pain also. I ended up not taking him, my hen took to it right away though. In showmanship she wouldn't even stand up
