I did a market goat this year! It is really fun! I have some really reputable breeders in our area that support 4h! This was my first time raising one and they helped me the entire time!

Ok these are my final results for my fair!
Poultry:
1st place novice showmanship
2nd place junior showmanship
2nd,3rd,&7th in breed classes
Dairy goat:
4th in senior showmanship
1st in 3 years under 4 milkers
2nd junior doe oberhasli kid
Reserve champion junior oberhasli doe kid
Market goat:
1st in junior showmanship
3rd in senior showmanship
1st in my market class
3rd overall
I got $6 a pound and $300 in add ons! Sending out a bunch of buyers letter defiantly helps!
Last but not least I won junior 4h Large animal mastershowmanship!!!!!!!!

I always love it when they give out stuff other than ribbons. Ribbons are nice to look at but can't be used for anything. I got hoof trimmers for winning best in class for my market goat, and a cage for winning best in show. That stuff is really useful and I love shows who do that.
