Hey guys! I wanna join 4-h this year and want to show chickens. Does anyone here show them? How does it all go down?

This is my first year showing chickens and I will be showing silkies!!! Im excited but I hear feather legged ones are hard because they get there feet dirty!!!! So Im pretty scared so I was thinking about putting baby socks on my chicken too keep her feet from getting dirty!!! Hope it works!!! Also I hear that cochins are nice and great chickens.

So far my roo that I want to show has pretty clean feet. But I free range them so maybe just from walking around they stay clean

who knows but I am excited!! First and foremost I have to join a 4-h club though...
