4 legged chick Clover

Pics
Mmmm… how do i say this. I ordered 6 chicks from Cackle Hatchery, i was given 8! and one of them has 4 legs. I honestly don’t expect survival but it doesn’t seem to be in pain?? I’m not sure how I would tell… But I just don’t know what to do.
Did you call the Hatchery? Maybe they can give you more information.

If this is actually true, I have serious doubts that a hatchery like Cackle would send off a chick like that.
Idk, Metzer send me a duckling with a deformed bill. The top was shorter than the bottom and she couldn’t close her mouth. Poor thing only lived for 4 days

I just don’t like the idea of amputation. Why not just leave her be.
It could effect her egg laying and her vent. Keep in mind that amputation is expensive and that @Ceciliasflock is willing to pay to keep the special chick alive.

Definitely ask a vet, but if that’s too pricey andother option could be to tie a string around the non-working leg. This is a method we used in Haiti when on a medical mission trip to help a small child with polydactyly. I’d recommend doing one leg at a time. But I do NOT have an “MD” or “DVM” after my name!

I’m sure she will be just fine, no matter what.
Name idea from my teenage son: Quattro Moto. Or Audi. ;)
I like Quattro Moto!

On that note, you guys tied children’s digits off to decrease blood flow for them to fall off?? Wow.
