I don't know what is wrong, she is very sleepy, has very red skin on her head, and i have noticed one of my other chickens (same age) trying to peck at her eyes! Usually she is very aware of her surroundings, and won't let me hold her very easily, but now she is SUPER careless about everything!

Anybody got some advice for me?

Could be coccidosis. Cocci symptoms are lethergic and very sleepy and ruffled feathers and they may or may NOT have bloody poo. Not all cases of coccidosis have bloody poo. It depends on the strain. If you suspect she might have cocci you can treat with Amprolium the brand name is corid or amprol. This kills all 9 strains of cocci while other meds only kill some strains. I would start treatment right away if you suspect this might be what's happening with her. I wish you the best. Also when one chick is sick the others can since it and will Peck on them. That's likely what's happening. Best of luck and hope this helps.

So, my poor little chicken, Philliah, has lice eggs all over her neck. I am a first time owner, so how do I deal with this? I know i should not use pesticides because its her head, but today is what I call Chicken Day, so everyone is getting a bath, wings trimmed, and nails trimmed too, but i just don't know what to do with her! Help please!!!

I usually dust them with poultry dust and pull the feathers that have eggs on them off... For some reason the come off very easily.
