So I just got four russian orlofs about 4 months ago, and all has been doing well. As far as I can tell, we have 3 roosters and 1 hen. Our hen has just recently has started being wobbly. When she stands up, she wobbles and when she tries to walk she face plants or falls on her side. She either gets discouraged or it strains her too much because now she only lays down. We've checked her legs and feet for problems and deformities and came up clear. She is also "pooping" clear liquid, despite having full access to corn, grain, and starter. All the other chicks are doing fine and she JUST started. What could this be and how could I help her?

Did you get the orloffs from a hatchery, breeder, or did you hatch them? Were they vaccinated for Mareks? Does she have balance issues, seem to have numbness or paralysis of either leg or wing? Are her toes curled under on either foot? Could she have been injured during mating or from a fall? I like to recommend vitamin B complex 1/4 tablet daily just in case of a deficiency. Make sure that she can reach her food and water, and that might be better in a dog crate. A chicken sling chair may be helpful.

I got them from tractors supply, so I am unsure whether they are vaccinated. It's just balance issues, doesn't seem to be in a specific limb. No curled toes and they are not mating yet. Still rly small.

How is she doing? This sounds exactly like my 8 week old Russian orloff. I can’t figure out how to help her
