4 month old pullet with injured beak- need advice!

I noticed this evening that my 4 month old EE Lolo had an injured beak (it is torn from the top of her nostril a little, see pics) It must of just happened as I was checking on them for the night. She bled very little and is no longer bleeding, I sprayed it with vetericyn and it seems to not be bothering her too much, although she wouldn't eat the meal worms, but she did peck at them and she was preening. Should I attempt to glue down the flap so it doesn't get worse? Or should I just leave it and it will repair itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Poor baby. Idk but hopefully someone will be along shortly to help. I'm following this to see what to do in case I ever have it happen. Good luck. I pray that she'll be back to normal soon.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do? I tried to see if she was eating this morning, she pecks a little, I don't know if she is in pain or not. Any help is appreciated!

Poor girl.

That's quite a tear. I'm not sure if it would be repairable or not. It may die and fall off.
I'll give you a link on how to repair just in case you want to try. I'll also tag @centrarchid who has experience with beak damage.

In the meantime, she is most likely hurting, so offer her some wet feed in a deeper dish, sometime this is easier to eat. Having to peck at pellets/crumbles can be difficult. You can also give her some hard boiled egg which will hopefully be easy to manage.

Thanks for the link and including @centrarchid I was wondering if I should just glue it down so she doesn't tear it any more. I will do the wet feed in a deeper dish along with the boiled egg. Should I continue to disinfect with the vetericyn? It is almost like a chipped/torn nail.

That's a tough call on whether to glue it or not. Is it just the outer layer?

You can certainly apply Vetericyn if you feel like it needs it, maybe flush it once a day to remove dirt/food that has accumulated.

Yes, it is only the outer layer, it is almost as if she tore a layer of her beak.. there was a little blood yesterday but it stopped immediately. I cleaned it, but flushing it out today would be a good idea. I am concerned that she tries to peck to eat but doesn't actually eat so I am thinking it is painful.

Update:

So yesterday afternoon I came home and my little fluffer was looking much better. It seems as if she tore a layer of the keratin up a little bit. It was looking much better and she seemed to be in less pain. She was eating, drinking and cleaning her beak (on my sweatshirt of course) I cleaned her up with some more vetericyn and sent her to bed. I will continue to observe her and leave a nice wet mash for her to eat in lieu of her chicken crumbles so her beak has time to heal. I have an appointment with the vet for next week should things get worse or a sign of infection arises I can bring her in.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear she is doing better, more than likely the outer layer will fall off on it's own.
