I just layed all new bark in my flower beds and all my chicks were messing them up and having a great time rolling around and giving themselves dust baths! It was so funny that I couldn't possibly be mad! As far as the squatting, my chicks are 17 weeks. Last week my Barred Rock came up to me and when I pet her she squatted and just sat there. I thought that she was going to lay an egg right there. It was so funny! She layed her first egg yesterday! I know it was her because when I let all 7 out in the morning she didn't leave the run and was sqaking and making a ruckus! I went out about an hour later and there was an egg in the nesting box! I had 2 wooden eggs in there so they know where they should lay! No eggs today.
