4 more weeks !!!!!!!

[Keene's coop]

until my babies come. the first week of june!!!!

and the only thing i have done so far is get a waterer, heat lamp, and wood. oh and i built ONE wall frame and that's it

i still haven't picked a location yet to put the coop

i've been watching my yard for the last 6 months to see where the sun hits the most on the ground so i have the coop in the sunniest but somewhat shady spot. i'm watching 2 spots. we live in the city and have a fairly small yard. i think some of you professional chicken keepers should come to my house and kick my butt into gear.

I NEED HELP!!!!! by the way, i still haven't told my husband that the chickies are comming

OK, I'm curious. If he has no idea that you have chicks coming - what does he think you're building out there?

How many chicks do you have coming? And what kinds?

Just keep swimming... just keep swimming...
I ended up bring the chicks home before I had things ready... Oops!
I had a light. food, feeder, a large tote for living/brooder and excited childen!

They are doing great we are buliding the coop and run this weekend... and I still have made my final decision as to where
I am going to put the coop... I purchased a cedar dog house at Lowe's tonight and we are going to build it up on blocks to it sits off the ground and then the run around that.

They will be free range during the day as long as I can get them back in at night!

he knows i'm getting chickens, i just didn't tell him i already bought them and that they will be here the first week of june. we are getting 6. only allowed 4, but who cares. i'm getting 1 of each of australorp, delaware, leghorn, rir, sussex, and my fave slw. it's supoosed to kinda rain, hopefully not, so i can get more done, i hope.
