Hello chicken veterans and recruits! We got some new chicks- mix of breeds- this weekend and we are looking forward to raising our little flock here in the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. We kept chickens for a short time about five years ago in a much more temperate climate [no snow, no heat waves, not many predators] and got them as pullets so parts of this are very new to us. I look forward to learning a lot from all your successes and failures!

Welcome. I myself am new to the site and I must say it is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and eager to share their successes and failures and offer great advise. Love having a place to talk chicken as my family is almost sick of me and my chicken talk. Lol
