Any thoughts on what gender these are?

Now they are 7 weeks old. Pepperberg is held by the the yellow shirt and Adam by the blue farm shirt. Still trying to get a hint of gender.

I think they're pullets, and I'm sure they are the same gender as each other.

It's easier to tell when there is one of each to compare. Two of a kind is more difficult. But I think cockerels would have redder combs by this age, so probably pullets.

I have two Blacks and a Blue that just turned 16 weeks. Their combs are not nearly as big as your two. I’ll have to vote for both being cockerels that are just slow to develop the reddening in their combs. I hope I’m wrong though. :) Please post some more updates later.

Yikes that would be sad. So far, of my straight run chicks, I am batting 0%.

They do seem to be the same gender, whatever they are. They feathered at the same time, and behaviorally act similar. One (Adam) is slightly larger. They are both the top of the pecking order and will face off against each other. No one else will challenge them.

8 weeks old -- close-up pictures featuring Adam -- the one with the bigger comb.
