Adam has a much redder comb than all other chicks of the same age.
Yup. My 10 month old Americana only recently finished growing her comb.They still both look like pullets. Pea combs grow very slowly in hens but pretty quickly in roosters.
Those are probably saddle feathers, an indicator of a cockerel. You haven't heard any crowing?Should I be concerned about the long curving down tail-feathers on Adam?
I think you have 2 boys.No crowing, but true Ameraucana's come to maturity late.
