4 week old barred rock. Is it a pullet or cockrel?

My little barred rock "Spot" is just about 4 weeks, and i'm curious what he/she is. I thought pullet, but i'm not so sure anymore as its comb seems to be getting bigger than the rest. This is my first batch of chickies, so i have no clue what I'm looking for. What do you guys think?

Did the chick come from a hatchery, TSC or a backyard breeder? I'm thinking pullet, but it depends where it came from.

Excellent. I believe you have a pullet, due to the darker color/barring. Cockerels of that breed are lighter if they come from pure stock.

Awww thanks. She has quite the little personality, always like to jump on me and my husbands head lol.

I have a barred rock rooster. He’s the only roo out of 24 birds...and he’s the tamest. I have never had a rooster...and now that I have ONE...I will always have one in my flock.

As mentioned above...too early to tell...prob a pullet
