4 week old chick ate 3+ inch piece of ribbon - HELP!

Reading the other posts was helpful (thanks ddawn!!)
I assumed the ribbon would come out all in one piece (and someone else would ingest) since it was fabric, but by golly it appears her gizzard is grinding it up. All her poops last night had small pieces of fiber in them. (Only a dedicated chickmom/dad would pick through poo!)
She spent the night on a roost over the bathroom sink, but I've just returned her to the flock. Maybe I can get some work done now...
I'll keep an eye on her, but it's definitely not stuck in her crop. Hooray!
Thanks for all the information. This website totally rocks my tiny little world.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!

I caught mine feasting on packing peanuts one day. They were chasing them all over the yard.

I just wanted to say if this kind of thing ever happens to one of your pets DON'T PULL!

Cats are prone to ribbon eating and if you see the ribbon being passed but it is still in one piece it would be very tempting to pull it to help them pass it.

Don't do this!

By pulling you can twist their intestines. You can use sissors to trim it but don't pull. Let it pass by itself.

OP, this is wonderful news! I had no idea the gizzard was so strong. Nice to know!
