Our weather is in the upper 80's during the day and mid 50's at night. If I close them in the insulated, draft free coop at night, can they move outside? There are six of them.

I am in FL and that was our weather in April and I moved my RIR's to the outside coop around 3wks of age and they did great. I think they will be just fine as long as they have feathered out.

80's are about the temperatures 4 week olds should be used to anyway, and I know people have kept birds around that age outside even in near-freezing temperatures without problems. I'd say go for it, and if they seem too cold, you could always bring them back inside!

i would wait another week unless you want to provide some heat at night.

my EEs got alot more feathers between 4-6 weeks so I am putting them out this week at 6 weeks. our lows at night are mid-50's.

i have been weaning them off of the light and last night it was about 60 in the garage but they were a little chilly.

also, how many chicks do you have so they can snuggle together?
