Hi all! Our first time hatching Muscovies didn’t work out so great and only one baby made it out. The kids have dubbed him/her “Noodle”. S/he’s 4 weeks old and feeling pretty lonely (though our kids are providing pretty constant temporary companionship for now ;) ) so we’re looking to get a few more. Really hoping to figure out the sex of this little one first though... 4 weeks is obviously pretty young, but any guesses? If so, what are your clues? With no other ducklings to compare to size, bill shape and feather growth is really hard to gauge. Thanks so much!

Your Noodle is super cute! Did you finally figure out sex, almost one yr. old already, right? I rescued a two day old Muscovy duckling February 8, 2019. Now 4 weeks old. Time flies! I don't know sex either, too young to tell they say. Sadly, can't keep this cutie because I live in a subdivision with a HOA and the rules say no chickens or ducks allowed. So I'm looking for someone to adopt her/him as Pet. Hand raised, sleeps with me, sweet, likes you to touch It's bill, & loves to get neck petted. I handle daily and has no problem with human touch. Free to a good home. Did you get any more Birds (Muscovies). I don't know anything about ducks, but the one I foster is super smart. Since not sexed yet, I called it Quacky. Funny, you call out it's name and comes to you. If you know anyone interest in a Muscovy as a PET, please let me know. I keep it inside the house, it's so cruel, I think. Quacky should be with it's own species. I can't give it that. I do my best. I just couldn't leave this little duckling in a box next to a Pet Supermarket. That's how I rescue Quacky. Here's my email in case you know somebody. [email protected]
I'll post pics if Quacky.

Hi, I'm Quacky!
