This was my favorite little "gal" too !!!! Her/his name is BananaBread. Great, now what!?!??!

I guess it's back to the feed store to see if they have chicks of the same age as the other 3 we have.

Thank you SO much for the quick reply :) "He" is an Americauna.

Hey Parker707, Welcome to BYC

Sorry but I agree BananaBread looks like a boy to me also.

Are you allowed to keep roosters? If not, you have a few weeks yet before he starts to crow and might be able to find him a new home.

Did where you got him from have a policy to switch out any boys or was it a chance you took?

Maybe you could call him BananaBob

BananaBob..... LOL I am sure I can find him a home, and will do just that :) I think my challenge here is going to be to find another chick that are the same age and size as the other 3 we have. I really only wanted 4 total. Thanks again.

No problemo Parker707

I have a couple of concerns that I hope you do not mind me mentioning and I am a bit of a worrier, so feel free to disregard them

Depending on where you get your ‘replacement’ chick from, you risk bringing in disease to your existing chicks. A quarantine period of anywhere from 2-6 weeks is recommended, depending on personal preference.

I have not personally tried to introduce chicks to chicks, but I have read that even at 4 weeks, the existing little ones may not accept the newbie.

Might be worth researching or someone else may reply with advice or disagree with my concerns?

Can you get a shot that shows the entire bird in natural lighting? While this photo shows some comb growth, it does not show significant wattle development and the color of the comb does not appear overly pink - honestly, nothing in this photo is screaming cockerel just yet.
