I have four, one month old chicks. A BO, a RIR, a SLW and a Australorp. I have read that Roos develope their combs earlier than hens and my Australorp comb has really started to develope all of a sudden. The other 3 chicks have smothe heads still. Does this look like a possible Roo?

That's what I was afraid of. It's kind of obvious but I thought maybe this breed might develop faster than the others. I don't really mind, I kinda wanted a rooster. Hubby and the neighbors won't be very happy though.

I know what you mean. I have 4 different groups of chicks from different places some were sexed others straight run out of the 30 I know I have at least three boys "ugh spell check" I was hoping for a few but husband and neighbors are going to detest it. Oh well lol...

What a cutie! My Astrolorpe has hardly any comb at 8 weeks ( but my BO has a bonkers comb and wattle!)
Anyway, I'd guess Roo, but what do I know? ;)

Have fun with your chicks!
