4 wk old baby chick attacked by older hens

I have a 4 week old chick that hopped out of his pen and was attacked by my older hens. They pecked a hole in the back of his head, pecked his eye (eye is still there, but he keeps it closed and when he opens it, it looks toward the ground, like a lazy eye). When I put him back with the Mom and the other chicks they all started to peck him too so I moved him in my house away from all of them. I put blu kote on him and snuggled him for a little while. He is eating and drinking and going to the bathroom. I feel like he is going to be just fine, but my concern is when I reintroduce him to his mom and other babies, if they will take him back in or keep him as a cast out??

What's worked for me sometimes in the past is to move mom in with the chick (neutral territory), then add the other chicks back in a few days. A few days after that, you can move them back to where they were.
