Crowing
I have young kids, and I have a rooster. But I would not keep the rooster if he starts trying to attack the kids. There are rules for how to behave around the chickens. No screaming, yelling, or running are big ones. When the chickens are out of the run for free range time, the kids are not allowed to ride their bikes (training wheels on a mostly gravel driveway). The kids are never left unsupervised with the chickens. Some roosters are just aggressive, and will attack anything they perceive as weak, or a threat.
