Here is what my Daughter and I put together tonight. It took about 1.5hrs to complete.
Tomorrow we will be adding a dimmer switch to help control the temperature a little easier

Please let me know what you think. Good or Bad, I would like to know what you think.
This will be used for 5 Cornish X at a time, from now, until the freezer is full.

five chicks at a time is a good number to keep in there. Sice its a little small you should only keep the chicks in there for 3 weeks. Good luck with your chciks

It looks very similar to the brooder I made last year. Except mine is a 50 gallon rubbermaid tote. I did the top exactly the same, and added a window to the front on the opposite side of the heat lamp. I used some leftover wire and zip ties I stole from my DH workshop, so all I had to buy was the tote. Which I got on clearance at Wally World for $7 :D
 
Just 9 more weeks until you guys get to go to Camp Frigidaire ...
